Influenced by artists such as Allison Krauss and Dolly Parton, Misty Freeman’s raw and honest vocals resonate with the soul and deliver truth of the Gospel with transparency and grace. At the young age of fourteen, Misty Freeman began making appearances on stage with her award-winning family group, The Freemans, playing acoustic guitar. A few years later, Misty joined the family full-time singing harmony and performing several of her very own songs. Throughout the decades, Misty and her family, have experienced great success in the Southern Gospel industry and music world with countless top 10 hits and five number 1 songs on the premier Singing News Chart!
Misty has released three solo albums throughout her career in Christian music, including, “It’s All True,” “Faith Hope & Love,” and “What If I’m Right?” Misty co-wrote many of the songs featured on the “What If I’m Right?” album. Misty has also been featured on many of her family’s albums throughout the last two decades, such as, “Standing Out,” “Highway,” “Closer,” “The Freemans: LIVE,” “Eyes on the Prize,” “Evidence,” and “Voice in the Desert.”
Although Misty has released several albums with her family, The Freemans, as well as previous solo albums, her debut release on Daywind Roots will be the first solo project in nearly a decade. The EP contains six new songs produced by Trey Ivey. The new album features renowned writers, such as, Lee Black, Jason Cox, and Kenna West.
